CPE Lagos Chapter Meet Ahead of “Save Education in Nigeria” February Advocacy Plan.

CPE Advocacy Plan for February 2020 ,which has recieved a lot of appraisals and accolades from far and near has finally found its way into the glare of the media as it held a press briefing to clearly reinforce its commitment to creating a nation-wide network of educators and concerned who are willing and ready to be a part of the whirlwind of change in the educational sector.

 

The meeting which took place at the Mindbuilders Secondary Hall was graced by several educators and parents from several other field of study who were passionate about the course of CPE and collectively saw the need for rejuvenation in the educational sectors by addressing and emphasizing on key issues like: parenting,extensive Teacher Training,provision of support for less priviledge children with health challenges such as cerebral palsy,setting clear unified agendas for public and private schools,introduction of aptiitude test before department designation in secondary or high school,curbing the menace of out of school children by increasing educational facilities and creating awareness for increased yearly Federal educational budget.

The event was an eye opener for all to know that a better Nigeria starts with each and everyone with CPE taking the lead by creating a platform for all to communicate, deliberate and discuss the problems that has bedevilled the educational growth of the country and also proffer solutions through advocacy campaigns for governmental and corporate intervention. Above all and beyond, the stage was set for the winds of change set to take on the educational sector in Nigeria starting with the “Save Education in Nigeria” Initiative which would be embarked on by several states in Nigeria, with a view to steer the educational framework of the country on the right path to success.
